Our Pastor

Pastor Brian Mikul was saved at an early age growing up in a Christian home in the suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  While attending John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, he first sensed God leading him into pastoral ministry. He graduated from JBU in 1994, and began attending Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he graduated with a Master of Divinity in 1998.

While in seminary he met his wife, Teresa, as she attended Cornerstone University.  They were married in September 1998. While Teresa finished school, Brian worked for Our Daily Bread Ministries. In 2000, Brian accepted the call to serve at Pomona Bible Church where he has served for over 20 years. They have two children, Megan (20) and Matthew (18).

Brian enjoys reading, eating cookies, and rock collecting. Together as a family they enjoy hiking, camping, and spending time along Lake Superior.

Brian’s purpose in life is to live with a passion for God and compassion for people in response to Christ’s passion for him, and to help others live with a passion for God and compassion for others in response to Christ’s passion for them. He blogs about this purpose at Three Passions.
